“Rose du Faubourg“ is a superlative blend. The eternally feminine Reine des Roses combines to perfection with all the insolence of a one-of-a-kind woody-fruity accord.
The composition kicks off with a zesty hint of red fruits (blackcurrant/plum) underscored by refreshing grapefruit and citrus fruits. The whole is followed swiftly by a series of peony rose heart notes on which Bulgarian rose absolute leaves its sensual, heady mark. The base notes comprise undertones of patchouli and cypress tinged with white musk. Our vegetable waxes (soy/beeswax) are very carefully selected for their subtle quality and finesse, and, together with our pure cotton wicks, they conspire to provide over 40 hours’ burning time. Handcrafted and traditionally made by a Master wax chandler from the Basque country, they are developed by Bô Rivage for Rose Desgranges.

The candle collection sees a new addition, ‘Monsieur Albert’, in honour of the creator of the fragrance Rose Desgranges. Albert Meyer, the charismatic, multi-talented owner of the famous Figaro Club hairstyling salon in the 1940s, known as ‘Monsieur Albert’ to his clients, was an inventor, a lover of the Orient and a martial arts enthusiast.

A fragrance created in his own image, Monsieur Albert is at once delicate and mysterious, a secret, elegant alchemy formed of noble, precious woods (Oud, Mysore Sandal, Atlas Cedar), spices (Cardamom, Nutmeg) and sweet resins (Incense, Amber, Benzoin). Deliciously fragrant notes embrace the space with a warm, inviting air, leaving a unique stamp on your interior.
